Be upfront: Being honest about everything that you have to move will save you valuable time during your move. If your crew shows up on moving day, and you have more than you what you originally described, and you do not have an adequate crew for your move, this will rack up your time and ultimately your final moving cost. Also, informing us of any items that are very heavy, large, or out of the ordinary so that we may be prepared with the proper tools and materials it may require.
Properly Packing your items: Packing your items properly will not only protect your belongings, but it will also save you money as well. If you are not properly packed, the movers may have to take additional time added to your bill to finish packing for you. We understand all that comes with moving can be overwhelming, so we also provide packing services prior to moving day as well as packing supplies, if needed!
Organization: Being organized during the moving process will help ensure that your move goes as swiftly and smoothly as possible. This will include packing and sorting your belongings. Labeling your boxes and stacking them in a centralized(clear open area such as a garage) will save you time. Disorganization can cause chaos and confusion, causing your move to take more time.
Disassembly of furniture: We provide disassembly and reassembly of your furniture at no additional cost. However, the time it takes to disassemble and reassemble your furniture will add time to your final bill. If you would like to save money on moving costs, you may disassemble your furniture prior to moving day and have it nicely stacked for the movers. Don’t forget to put the hardware pieces in a labeled zip lock bag!
Expect the unexpected: We strive to be as accommodating as possible and meet each of our customers individual needs. However, things outside of anyone’s control may happen. Keep up on important dates/deadlines! Planning ahead and keeping deadlines in mind will help you be better prepared if something were to happen. Having a clear open area to stack boxes such as a garage. (They can take them to each room marked but it will slow them down.) Make sure you have a large enough crew and enough trucks to fit your items properly. Even though it may be more an hour for a larger crew or extra truck, it could save you time having an extra man on your team or an extra truck to save your crew from having to make another trip or set up another move entirely.
