Great Ideas to Shake Off the Stress of Moving

Moving is a stressful experience. There are so many variables that you have to set up and take care of throughout the process and it can be overwhelming. Once you’ve completed your move, it may be difficult to de-stress and relax.

Here are just a few ways to enjoy your new place:

  • Go for a walk- Exercise is always relaxing and getting a breath of fresh air. You’ll also learn more about your new location.
  • Take a Nap- After all the planning and work, get some rest and refresh yourself.
  • Cook Dinner- Enjoy your new house and get everyone involved with a delicious home cooked meal.
  • Massage Day- Loosen up the tension and relieve your stress with a 60 minute massage. Afterwards, you’ll be refreshed.
  • Read- Get lost in your favorite book and forget about your stressors.
  • Movie night with family and kids- Pop in your favor movie, make some popcorn and sit back and relax. The kids can also enjoy their home-made cars. (See instructions below)

Turn Those Boxes Into a Drive In Movie Car

Drive-In Movie Cardboard Box Car

Materials:

  • Large Card Board Box
  • 4 Paper plates
  • Paint (Black, Silver, Yellow, Color of your choice)
  • Paint brush
  • Glue
  • Imagination

Directions:

Step 1: Cut out a square from the top of the box (about 2/3 of the top, leaving 1/3 for the hood)

Step 2: Paint the paper plates (these will act as the wheels). The otter rim of the plate should be black and the inner circle silver

Step 3: While the paint is drying on the wheels, allow the kids to paint or use markers to decorate their car. They can add headlights, decals, racing stripes, etc.

Step 4: Once all the paint has dried attach the wheels using the glue.

Step 5: Enjoy!!
